RESTORATION & CONDITION

This clock has been carefully cleaned, serviced, adjusted, and tested for dependable operation. The carved topper was previously broken in two places and has been carefully repaired. The repaired areas blend very well with the surrounding carving and are not noticeable when the clock is assembled and hanging normally on the wall. The repairs may be visible upon close inspection, and detailed photographs have been included for full disclosure. As with any authentic vintage clock, minor signs of age and previous use may be present. These small imperfections are consistent with its age and contribute to the clock’s history and character.

OPERATION

This is a traditional 1-day mechanical cuckoo clock. It should be wound approximately once each day by pulling the chains downward to raise the two pinecone weights. The cuckoo bird emerges through the small door to announce the time with its traditional mechanical call. The clock’s timekeeping can be fine-tuned by moving the decorative leaf on the pendulum.

MEASUREMENTS

This clock measures approximately 16” from the bottom of the center leaf to the top of the bird’s wing. It measures approximately 11-1/2” side to side across the roof topper and is approximately 6-1/2” deep. The hanging weights and pendulum require additional wall space below the clock.
