One of the highlights of this clock is its beautifully carved Fox and Raven motif, a less common Black Forest design that has long been favored by collectors. At the top of each hour, the cuckoo calls the hour, the dancers rotate, and the Reuge music movement plays one of two traditional Swiss melodies: Fröhlicher Wanderer (The Happy Wanderer) and Edelweiss. The rich walnut finish and bold carving give this clock exceptional presence on the wall.

Operation:

The clock is powered entirely by its mechanical movement and requires no batteries. The 8-day movement only requires winding once each week by raising the pine cone weights. The cuckoo announces both the hour and half hour, while the dancers rotate as the Swiss music box plays after the hourly cuckoo call. The music and cuckoo can be conveniently turned off using the built-in shutoff lever.
