A beautifully restored vintage German Black Forest cuckoo clock featuring the classic “Fox and the Raven / Sour Grapes” design inspired by Aesop’s fable. This charming 30-hour cuckoo clock features hand-carved maple leaves, grape clusters, a carved bird at the top, and a detailed fox along the lower front of the clock. The warm light-brown wood tone and detailed carving give this clock a wonderful traditional Black Forest look.

This clock is based on the Aesop’s fable “Sour Grapes” and features the fox and raven design, along with grape clusters and maple leaves. It is a beautiful vintage German cuckoo clock with a lot of charm and character. The carved fox, bird, leaves, and grapes make this a very attractive piece for a collection, cabin, lodge, cottage, or vintage-inspired home.

Restoration & Condition:

The movement has been cleaned, oiled, serviced, and tested, and the clock runs as it should. The outside of the clock has also been carefully cleaned and looks great, as shown in the photos. This clock is in very nice vintage condition and should be good for years to come. The topper was previously broken but has been repaired. The repair looks good and is not noticeable when the clock is hanging on the wall. Operation: This is a 30-hour cuckoo clock, meaning the chains are wound once each day. The cuckoo bird appears from the small door and calls on the hour and half hour.
