RESTORATION & CONDITION

This clock has been carefully restored, serviced, adjusted, and tested for proper operation. The mechanical movement has been cleaned and lubricated where appropriate, and the timekeeping, cuckoo, music, and dancing-figure functions have all been adjusted to operate correctly. The wooden case has been gently cleaned while preserving its original vintage character and finish. As expected with an authentic vintage clock, minor signs of age and use may be present. These natural imperfections add to its character and history. Please review all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the description.

OPERATION

This is a traditional one-day mechanical cuckoo clock and should be wound approximately once each day by pulling the free ends of the chains to raise the three weights. The cuckoo emerges and calls once on the half-hour and counts the number of hours at the top of each hour. After the cuckoo finishes calling, the Swiss music box plays and the colorful figures rotate around the upper balcony. The clock uses separate weights to power the timekeeping, cuckoo, and musical functions.

Measurements do not include the hanging weights, chains, or pendulum. Please remember that this is a vintage mechanical clock. Minor variations in timekeeping may occur, and occasional adjustment may be necessary after shipping and installation.
